About Chelsie

Chelsie in the Rockies
Chelsie earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, which she quickly tucked away in a box as she began the next chapter of her life. The next chapter entailed marriage, a mortgage and kids. She married an Australian/New Zealander at 21, part way through her degree, and had her first baby just a year after graduating from Uni. The next two babies followed quickly after, and Chelsie is now the proud mom of three gorgeous little souls. Her lovely family has recently moved to New Zealand to escape the relentless cold that is Canada, aspiring towards a life filled with fresh fruit and warm people.

Before coming to New Zealand Chelsie was constantly being reassured by people who had never been to New Zealand that it would be so similar to Canada she’d barely notice the difference. But after six months abroad, she is not so sure. This blog will be her means of exploring the differences as she sees them; good and bad. This blog was started on March 13th 2010 after the kids went to bed, and before making cinnamon buns for the morning. It will be her way of exploring her new home that is New Zealand through writen word, and coming to terms with what she has left behind in Canada; her history, friends and family.

NOTE: Chelsie and Fam are now back in Canada, but she has recently started posting about all things Canadian!
